# CRM Module

> Manage leads, deals, contacts, companies, and the full sales pipeline.

### Overview

The CRM module is where sales activity lives: leads come in, get qualified, turn into deals,
and move through a pipeline to close. Alongside the pipeline it holds your contact and company
directory, client/account records, contracts, quotations, a product catalog, and an activity
timeline (calls, meetings, notes) for every relationship. CRM has no dependencies on other
modules — Clients, Finance, Marketing, and Reports all read from it, not the other way around.

### Where to find it

| Area | Route |
| - | - |
| Pipeline overview / dashboard | `/crm`, `/crm/dashboard` |
| Pipeline (kanban) | `/crm/pipeline` |
| Leads | `/crm/leads` |
| Lead routing rules | `/crm/lead-routing` |
| Deals | `/crm/deals` |
| Forecasting | `/crm/forecasting`, `/crm/ami-forecast` (AI-assisted) |
| Contacts / Companies / Clients | `/crm/contacts`, `/crm/companies`, `/crm/clients` |
| Contracts / Quotations / Catalog | `/crm/contracts`, `/crm/quotations`, `/crm/catalog` |
| Activities / Calls / Meetings / Notes | `/crm/activities`, `/crm/calls`, `/crm/meetings`, `/crm/notes` |
| Outreach sequences | `/crm/sequences`, `/crm/ai-followups` (AI-assisted) |
| Pipeline settings | `/settings/sales/*` — stages, deal types, lead sources |

### Core workflows

#### Capture and qualify a lead

1. Go to **CRM → Leads** and click **Add lead**.
2. Fill in the lead sheet — first name is required, everything else is optional at capture time.
3. Set **Source** (Website, Referral, LinkedIn, Cold call, Event) and **Stage** to track where the
   lead is in qualification.
4. Save. The lead appears in the list and its stage is reflected on the CRM dashboard's funnel
   counts.
5. As the lead progresses, reopen it and move **Stage** through Contacted → Qualified →
Converted (or Unqualified/Lost to close it out).

#### Assign and route a lead

* Every lead has a real **Assigned To** field (a workspace member, not free text) — set it on
create or from the lead's edit sheet. Deals have the same real assignee field.
* **Lead Routing** (`/crm/lead-routing`) lets you define rules for how new leads get distributed
to reps automatically instead of manual assignment.

#### Run the pipeline

1. Open **CRM → Pipeline** for the kanban view, or **Deals** for the list view.
2. Deals move across the stages configured in **Settings → Sales → Pipelines/Stages**.
3. Use **Forecasting** for a manual revenue projection, or **AI Forecast** for the AI-assisted
   equivalent.

#### Set an Account Manager on a Company or Client

* Open a **Company** or **Client** record and click **Edit** to assign an **Account Manager** — a
real workspace member picker, saved immediately to that record.

### Field reference — Add lead

| Field | Notes |
| - | - |
| First name | Required |
| Last name | Optional |
| Company | Free text |
| Email / Phone | Optional |
| Source | Website · Referral · LinkedIn · Cold call · Event |
| Stage | New · Contacted · Qualified · Unqualified · Converted · Lost |
| Lead value (\$) | Numeric, used in pipeline value totals |
| Notes | Free text |

### Permissions

| Action | Who |
| - | - |
| View | Any active workspace member |
| Create / edit | Employee role and above (not client or contractor) |
| Delete | Manager, admin, or owner |

### Known limitations

* Marketing, Finance, and Clients all read CRM data (contacts, companies, deals) — a deleted or
renamed CRM record can affect what those modules show.
