# Learning Module (LMS)

> Courses, assignments, quizzes, certifications, and skills tracking.

### Overview

Learning is the company training system: a course catalog, assigned training, quizzes and
assessments, certifications, learning paths, and skills tracking, plus manager-facing team-progress
and leaderboard views. It links into [HRMS](/docs/modules/hrms) — certifications and skills
cross-reference employee profiles and performance reviews.

### Core workflows

#### Enroll in and complete a course

1. Browse **Courses** and enroll, or open **My Learning** to see courses already assigned to you.
2. A course can include **Quizzes**/**Assessments** — complete these to progress or to earn a
   **Certification** where the course awards one.
3. **Skills Matrix** tracks which skills a completed course or certification counts toward.

#### Track team training

* **Team Progress** gives a manager-level view of who's completed what.
* **Leaderboard** ranks completion/engagement across the workspace or team.
* **Training Calendar** shows scheduled/instructor-led sessions alongside self-paced course due
  dates.

#### Assign training

* Training is assigned per employee or role; assigned items show up in that employee's
  **Assignments** and **My Learning** views.

### Known limitations

No material gaps surfaced during this review — Courses, Enrollments, Assessments, Certifications,
and Skills are all backed by real Drizzle-managed tables (not the legacy unregistered
`apps/api/collections/lms/*` remnants, which are dead code and not served by any route).
