# Time Tracking Module

> Timers, timesheets, and time-based reporting.

### Overview

Time Tracking covers timesheets and timers for logging hours against projects and tasks. It ties
into Projects (project-linked time entries), Activity (paired activity/attendance tracking), and
Reports (time-based reporting), and feeds directly into Finance — invoices can be generated from
logged time entries.

### Where to find it

| Area | Route |
| - | - |
| Timesheets | `/time` |
| Timers | `/timers` |
| Time reports | `/time/reports` |

### Core workflows

#### Log time

* Use **Timers** (`/timers`) to start/stop a live timer against a task or project, or enter time
  manually on the **Timesheets** page.
* Filter timesheets by **Project**, **Employee**, and date range.

#### Review and report

* **Time Reports** (`/time/reports`) rolls up logged hours by project or employee.
* From **Finance → Invoices**, you can generate a line-items preview directly from a set of time
entries (filtered by employee/project/date range) instead of entering them manually — see the
  [Finance](/docs/modules/finance) module.

### Permissions

Time entries are workspace-scoped: employees see their own logged time; managers and above can
see everyone's.

### Known limitations

* `/time/timers` redirects to `/timers` — use `/timers` directly; both resolve to the same page.
