# API Versioning Policy

> AmDital has shipped a single API version since launch — /api/v1 is current, not legacy.

  There is no `/api/v2`. AmDital has only ever shipped `/api/v1` — every endpoint, webhook, and MCP
  tool is documented under it. See the [API Reference](/api-reference) for the current surface.

A breaking change to any route gets a new `/api/v2` prefix on that specific controller, not a
whole-API version bump — and the old `/api/v1` route keeps serving for a minimum of 6 months
after its `/v2` replacement ships. Until a breaking change actually happens, `/api/v1` is the
only version, current and fully supported — not a legacy surface to migrate away from.
