Overview
Finance covers the money side of the business: invoices, estimates, expense claims and reimbursements, vendor bills, budgets, payroll, taxes/GST, chart of accounts, and profitability reporting. It reads client data from CRM (an invoice’s client/contact links back to CRM companies/contacts) and employee data from HRMS (payroll links to employee profiles), and can trigger Notifications on payment events.Where to find it
Core workflows
Create an invoice
- Go to Finance → Invoices → New invoice.
- Pick a Client (linked to your CRM company/contact records), set the Invoice date and Due date.
- Add Line items (description, quantity, rate) — the invoice total is calculated from these.
- Apply an optional Discount (%) and Tax/GST (%), set the Currency, and add Notes.
- To bill on a schedule instead of one-off, enable Recurring and set a Frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) and interval.
- Invoices can also be generated directly from logged time: filter by employee, project, and date range to pull in a line-items preview from Time Tracking entries.
Track and approve expenses
- Expenses and Reimbursements capture employee-submitted costs; Vendor Bills capture what the business owes suppliers.
- Budgeting allocates spend across categories/cost centers; Profitability and Reports roll everything up for review.

Permissions
Finance is workspace-scoped; day-to-day entry (invoices, expenses) is generally available to employees and above, with manager-or-above approval expected for anything that commits company funds. Exact role gates are still being finalized module-wide — check with your workspace admin for your organization’s specific setup.Known limitations
- Role gates for individual Finance actions (who can approve vs. just submit) are still being standardized — don’t assume a specific role boundary without checking your workspace’s actual permission settings.
