Overview

Marketing covers outbound and inbound demand generation: a contact/segment database, multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, WhatsApp, social), visual automation workflows, lead-capture forms and landing pages, a chatbot, and lead scoring. It reads contact and lead-scoring data from CRM — a contact converted from a CRM lead shows up here, and lead-scoring activity feeds back into CRM.

Where to find it

Core workflows

Build a contact list

  1. Go to Marketing → Contacts to see everyone in your marketing database, or Contacts → Import to bring in a CSV.
  2. Use Segments to group contacts by shared criteria for targeted sending.
  3. Suppressed contacts (unsubscribed or bounced) are excluded from future sends automatically.

Launch a campaign

  1. Go to Marketing → Campaigns → New campaign, set a Name and Subject line.
  2. Pick a channel — Email, SMS, WhatsApp, or Social — each has its own list and settings page under Campaigns.
  3. Before sending on a channel for the first time, configure it: Email → Providers (connect an email provider), SMS/WhatsApp settings pages for those channels. A campaign without a configured provider routes you to Settings → Workspace → Integrations to finish setup.
  4. Use A/B Tests to compare subject lines or content variants on a portion of the list before a full send.

Automate a sequence

  • Sequences (/marketing/sequences) are simple drip/nurture flows keyed off an event (e.g. a form submission).
  • Automation (/marketing/automation) is the fuller visual workflow builder, with reusable Templates.

Capture leads

  • Forms and Landing Pages are how visitors get captured into Marketing; Pop-ups and the Chatbot are additional on-site capture surfaces.
  • Lead Scoring assigns point values to visitor/contact behavior; Visitor Tracking shows anonymous and identified site activity feeding that score.

Permissions

Marketing is workspace-scoped. Role gates for individual actions (who can send a campaign vs. just draft one) are not yet broken out per-role in the product — treat campaign sending as a manager-or-above action until your workspace’s actual permission settings say otherwise.

Known limitations

  • Role gates for individual Marketing actions are still coarse-grained (workspace-scoped, not yet broken out per action) — don’t assume a specific role boundary without checking your workspace’s actual settings.
