Overview

HRMS is the employee system of record: directory and profiles, org chart, departments and designations, attendance and shifts, leave requests, performance reviews and OKRs, and the recruitment pipeline all live here. It depends on Employee Profiles as its core data, links into Goals for performance/OKR tracking, LMS for skills and training, and Notifications for leave and workflow alerts.

Where to find it

Core workflows

Add and manage an employee

  1. Go to HRMS → Employees and open a record (or invite via Members → Invite).
  2. Editable fields: first/last name, email, department, role, manager, join date, salary, employment type, and status.
  3. Employment type: Full-time · Part-time · Contract · Intern.
  4. Status: Active · On Leave · Inactive.

Submit and approve leave

  1. Go to HRMS → Leave and start a new request: pick the employee, leave type, from/to dates, and a reason.
  2. Leave types: Annual · Sick · Emergency · Maternity · Paternity · Unpaid.
  3. An employee submits their own request; a manager or HR approves it. Approved leave shows on the shared Calendar as a leave layer.

Track attendance and shifts

  • Who’s In (/hrms/who-is-in) gives a live view of who’s checked in right now.
  • Shifts and Shift Assignments define working-hour patterns and assign them per employee; Shift Analytics reports on adherence.
  • Attendance also integrates with Slack — a bot history view is available at /hrms/attendance/bot.

Run a performance cycle

  • Performance Hub covers reviews, 1:1 check-ins, company/department/team/employee goals, leaderboards, recognition (“kudos”), and analytics — cycle configuration lives at /hrms/performance/settings.

Permissions

Known limitations

  • Not every “person” field across HRMS is a real, searchable member picker yet — Employee/Leave forms are, but coverage is being rolled out module by module.
